The Gospel of Matthew is a history that spans the lineage, birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the longest of the Gospels. Written around 60 A.D. by Matthew, who was one of the twelve original apostles, this Gospel begins by listing the lineage of Jesus Christ starting with Abraham, and establishing that Jesus is the prophesied “Son of David,” one of the basic qualifications for Him to be the Messiah.
About the author
