About this ebook

A fatal fall. A conniving convict. A new mystery takes root...

Verity Hawkes’ new life in Leafy Hollow almost feels whole. All the self-taught horticulturalist lacks are her Aunt Adeline and a stable relationship. Just when the second missing piece seems like it might be falling into place, Verity’s sleepy town welcomes back an all-too-familiar killer…

Suspicions run rampant when a body is found at the base of Pine Hill Peak, and the mother of Verity’s best friend is the number one suspect. To keep the wrong woman out of prison, Verity must rub shoulders with an arsonist, a hunky lawman, and a pair of dueling pastry chefs. When a scandal from the past threatens her investigation, Verity must act fast before the peak of her life becomes a valley…

A Branch Too Far is the third book in a series of witty cozy mysteries. If you like spunky heroines, laugh-out-loud humor, and charming small towns with big city crime rates, then you’ll love Rickie Blair’s Leafy Hollow Mysteries.

Its good and I enjoy a story being set in Canada for once as a Canadian. The only thing that bugs me about these stories is that Verity seems wishy washy - unable to commit to anything or state a firm opinion. I get that makes sense in the first two books but by the time you get to a 3rd book apparently 3 years have passed that she is living in Leafy Hollow. Can she not even commit to stating that she isn't moving back to Vancouver? Also if I had spent money from Vancouver to visit a friend who spent the whole time avoiding me - like she does with Patty for the entire book- I don't think I would consider myself their friend.

I just can't get enough of Verity and her friends, hope there's going to be a book 4 soon. Love the fact that my home City of Leeds and the local footy team mentioned a few times too.
