Roan Parrish writes such lovely hurt/comfort romances! All the stories of the Garnet Run series involve slightly damaged characters finding love and blossoming into strong, happy couples. You can read each of the novels as standalones, but folks from earlier books do play a small part in the subsequent stories. I hope this is not the last we hear from the colorful and interesting people who live in Garnet Run.

Looking for a new start after a bad breakup, Bram moves to a small Wyoming town. His neighbor Zachary, a reclusive architect, takes Halloween decorating very seriously—and the two end up in a friendly competition. Will rivalry turn to love? This was adorable and laugh-out-loud funny. Bram is an easy-going cinnamon roll. Zachary is hilariously rigid and lacking in emotional intelligence. The secondary cast adds to the fun. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.

About the author

Roan Parrish lives in Philadelphia, where she’s gradually attempting to write love stories in every genre. When not writing, she can be found cutting her friends’ hair, meandering through the city while listening to torch songs and melodic death metal, or cooking overly elaborate meals. She loves bonfires, winter beaches, minor chord harmonies, and self-tattooing. One time she may or may not have baked a six-layer chocolate cake and then thrown it out the window in a fit of pique.
