A bittersweet end to the best graphic novel series I have ever read. The fan in me would have been happy to see this series continue forever. However, I recognize that no story should last forever. There comes a time when you need to call it a day. With a series like this, calling it a day seems like an impossible task. Do you end it on a high note?Or maybe a grim, bleak one? I feel that this ending does a bit of both. We see the challenges of navigating this new world, but also the immeasurable benefits of said world. Carl serves as our guide all the way through. A part of him still the kid who grew up in the Apocalypse, and the other embracing the fruits of his father's sacrifice. This brings me to my final point: Rick Grimes has and will always be the Walking Dead. His mission has driven this story forward. With his death, the world unites under his vision, and we see a new, better world. A world that exists because Rick chose to get out of that hospital bed and fight for his family

to be honest I really have my doubts about this one because unexpectedly Robert Kirkman( the creator of the series) confirm that this book is going to end it all, but now that I finished reading it, this was a great way to end off the series, although many questions that fans had before this book came out, will never be answered because the series is now over. when I finished read this one,I was surprised[ even Robert Kirkman is surprised that it all comes to an end. but minus the flaws, this was a great way to end off the series, and the ending was totally satisfying R.I.P The Walking Dead comic book series: created: October 2003 finished:July 2019

It's over, it really is. What a huge leap to end so suddenly, and yet, I find it to be a bittersweet but all too appropriate way to end the series. No spoilers, something both the show and comics believed in and did their damndest to live to, and that is exactly why the ending is so spectacular. They even went so far as to create fake covers fake future issues. Bravo.
