About this ebook

Barely thirty and already washed up, rodeo cowboy Jay Turner has nothing to show for his twelve-year career except a few gold buckles and a busted-up knee. The very last thing he needs is career advice from his orthopedic surgeon, a chilly woman who has obviously never been thrown off a bucking bronco. Instead, Jay decides to lasso the beautiful lady doc with an intimate proposition.

Dr. Helen Kinsale’s own fast-track career is hanging by a thread as past mistakes and her ex-husband threaten her professional reputation. When Jay offers a no-holds-barred affair, she eagerly accepts the escape from her narrow little world. But the affair quickly turns into something else as they discover a dark sexual compatibility that leads them into new erotic situations and extreme sensations.

3.75**** The book delivered on the heat, Jay and Helen had lots of fun between the sheets and everywhere else. I did wish some other areas of the book were more fleshed out. Both Jay and Helen have issues from their past that are still impacting them. I would have liked to see them deal and resolve them in a more profound way. The ending did have an HEA, I just wanted a bit more.

Roping the Wind is Book One of the Kate Pearce's The Turner Brothers series. I have always loved Ms. Pearce's spicier novels and this was no exception. I would like to point out that the ONLY reason this book took me longer than normal to read was due to personal circumstances. Having read many reviews, some not so great, I went in a bit cautiously but honestly, I really enjoyed this story. Helen and Jay had great connection and an interesting plot kept me engaged throughout.

A very well written steamy romance between a cowboy that is forcibly retired and his reconstructive surgeon. Was a great read and the characters a well thought out, but a bit hot headed and illogical at times. He is the flaming hot to her cool and detached, what more could we ask for? Also 10/10 for the spiciness!
