About this eBook

In the zombie-infested, post-apocalyptic America where Benny Imura lives, every teenager must find a job by the time they turn fifteen or get their rations cut in half. Benny doesn't want to apprentice as a zombie hunter with his boring older brother Tom, but he has no choice. He expects a tedious job whacking zoms for cash, but what he gets is a vocation that will teach him what it means to be human.

Read through this book rather quickly. I found it fun, but not enough to pick up the next volume. The ending is rather predictable. Maybe more targeted for the 13-16 year old demographic. Interesting new take on zombies, but I wasn't into the whole feeling sorry for the zombies thing until the epilogue. In fact, it made them seem a whole lot less threatening than they should have been. Not bad. Not good enough.

This book was amazing I couldn't put it down and had the book finished before I realized. I was so hung on the desire to know what was to come in this series so I just started reading the next one; Dust & Decay. 2$ is overly cheap for this book though really! Worth way more than every penny definitely a must read.

After reading the whole series I have to say this series is AMAZING. The plot twists, the tear jerking, the amazing spin on classical zombies in realizing they were humans and what that means. It's an amazing take on zombies and is a wonderful read.
