Rudy Rucker is the author Ware tetralogy (Software, Wetware, Freeware, Realware); White Light; and many other science fiction stories and novels based on playful use of math. He is the great-great-great grandson of the philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel.
Terry Bisson's many novels include Fire on the Mountain, Voyage to the Red Planet , and The Pickup Artist. His 1990 short story "Bears Discover Fire" won both the Hugo and the Nebula awards, and his all-dialogue story "They're Made Out of Meat" is one of the most widely-reprinted SF stories of the last several decades.
