Es ist kaum vorstellbar: Eine Welt ohne Männer. Und doch gibt es sie, wie Corey erstaunt feststellen muss, als sie auf einer Erkundungsmission mit ihrem Raumschiff auf einer Erden-Kolonie landet. Denn auf dem ganzen Planeten leben nur Frauen. Ein Virus hatte vor Jahrhunderten den männlichen Teil der Bevölkerung dahingerafft, doch die Frauen haben Mittel und Methoden gefunden, auch ohne Männer zu überleben. Gentechnisch perfektioniert kommt auch das Äußerliche nicht zu kurz, und die umwerfend attraktive "Erste Beraterin" Thora spart zwar nicht mit Reizen, hat aber ganz andere Vorstellungen von Romantik und Liebe als Erdling Corey. Doch wie sich bald herausstellen wird, soll das nicht Coreys einziges Problem bleiben, denn die friedliche und harmonische Gemeinschaft der Bewohnerinnen scheint bedroht ...
