Sweet love affair for a long afternoon read This was a first time author for me. I participated in a author take over/fund raiser in May where I got introduced to this author. The author was funny and had us a great hour so off I go to one-click! This was a bit different as to the typical books in this genre I've picked up lately as this story starts with an established relationship. But don't let that sway you if you want a journey. Any person who has been in a long time relationship has been there and can relate. Ed and Carrick have a loving relationship but well, it gets stale. Ed flounders as to what to do. And I loved Ed. I had a love him/choke him relationship with Carrick. But Ed, I just wanted to wrap him up and keep him. The story was well written, flowed nicely, and you get invested in the characters. The only one star off is that it was a bit predictable. No big twist or oh my moments that set it apart, made it 100% unique. Do I recommend? Most definitely. Would I read another offering from this author? Oh yes, most definitely. If you are looking for that perfect romance journey a la chick flick mood, this is a novel for you.
