वि.स. खांडेकर लिहिलेल्या सर्वकालीन. हृदयस्पर्शी तत्वांनी ओतप्रोत अशा रूपककथांचा हा आणखी एक छोटासा संग्रह. रूपककथा हे स्थूल निर्देश करणारं शीर्षक. प्रत्येक्षात त्या कधी लोककथेच्या वेशात सामोऱ्या येतात, कधी कवीमनान कल्पिलेल्या तत्व्काठेच्या रुपात आपल्याला भेटतात. कधी गद्यरुपान प्रकट झालेला तो अत्यंत तरल असा काव्याविष्कार असतो. खांडेकरांचा म्हणून जो विशेष वाचकवर्ग आहे. त्याला या पुस्तकाचा याहून अधिक परिचय आवश्यक आहे असं नाही.

This is collection of Khandekar's meteors. They are very few in number but are intense in feelings. They have the universal touching philosophy. Meteors is a title in itself, a type, a particular way. But, sometimes they are in the form of legends. Sometimes, they are dressed with a philosophical touch. Sometimes they are in the form of prose but have the tremulous form of poetry. The readers who are greatly fond of Khandekar's literature and who are very well familiar with his style need no other description of this book.
