The Brave Samantha Series started with a simple idea; McClay wanted to write a book for her nieces and nephews. She started the writing process by imagining Samanthaโs character and then created the first conflict โ Samanthaโs fear of the woods. From there, the book took on a life of its own, and the plot developed as more introduced.
