Bryce Quinlan loves her life. Every night is a party, and Bryce is going to savour all the pleasures Lunathion – also known as Crescent City – has to offer. But when a brutal murder shakes the very foundations of the city, Bryce's world comes crashing down.

Two years later, Bryce still haunts the city's most notorious nightclubs – but seeking only oblivion now. Then the murderer attacks again. And when an infamous Fallen angel, Hunt Athalar, is assigned to watch her every footstep, Bryce knows she can't forget any longer.

As Bryce and Hunt fight to unravel the mystery and their own dark pasts, the threads they tug ripple through the underbelly of the city, across warring continents and down to the deepest levels of Hel, where things that have been sleeping for millennia are beginning to stir ...

Perfect for fans of Jessica Jones and True Blood, this is a blockbuster modern fantasy set in a divided world where one woman must uncover the truth to seek her revenge.

With unforgettable characters and page-turning suspense, this richly inventive new fantasy series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Sarah J. Maas delves into the heartache of loss, the price of freedom – and the power of love.

Cresent City Trilogy was the best series I've read in such a long time! I was absolutely enthralled with every book. I read them in a couple of weeks, just couldn't put them down. Highly, highly recommend. True love and crime in a fantasy world 💕👌

I love adult fantasy, especially urban fantasy, so I had very high expectations for this book. I'm very happy that all my expectations have been met and then some. It actually reminded me of the UF books I used to read all the time years ago. It has vibes of Karen Marie Moning's Fever series and Kim Harrison's The Hollows series so in the end it wasn't really surprising how much I adored this book since it reminded me of those. Honestly, I didn't think she would be able to top the ACOTAR series, especially A Court of Mist and Fury but House of Earth and Blood is the proof of that. As much as I love that series, this book is way better, leagues better! I really don't want to give too much away of the book itself or the plot because it's one of those reads that you just have to discover yourself. And also everything about it is too epic to try and explain it, if that makes sense. It was impossible to put this book down. I loved the heroine of this book. Bryce Quinlan (who is half-Fae, half human) has my heart and it'll be hard for me to find another character that I will adore as much. Hunt Athalar (who is a fallen angel) was a great hero as well. In the past I've disliked books featuring angels. I don't know why but they just haven't interested me as much, I guess. But Hunt? Hot damn! Suddenly I loooove angels. The romance was very slowburn and I'm not gonna lie sometimes I just wanted them to just get it on but I also thought it was written very well so I don't think I should complain too much about that. Their chemistry was off the charts so they definitely made me fan myself quite a few times. And really. This book was so thrilling and excited and to be honest it scared me at quite a few moments too. There were also a bunch of twists where I was actually shocked and let me tell you that doesn't happen very often with me these days. So it all gets points for giving me all the feels as well. Overall, House of Earth and Blood is the best damn book Sarah J. Maas has written to this date. It's my favorite book of the year so far and I just can't recommend it high enough. Please go read it because it's too good not to experience this epic book!
