CJ Cooper is one of the first women to qualify as a pro bronc rider and her first competition is in Marietta, Montana. She meets a tall good-looking cowboy, Jesse Carmody who is her main competition but she can 't afford to get distracted or to get a reputation as a buckle bunny. I would categorise this as a book of two plots. The first, shorter plot is abut CJ's first rodeo and the antagonism she faces from other competitors. The second plot is her insta-love with Jesse and his issues with his family, who live in Marietta. This longer second plot also seems to set up romances for each of Jesse's siblings. I enjoyed this but I thought it was too light on plot generally, and rodeo specifically, and too heavy on the insta-love sexy times between CJ and Jesse. I was looking for a rodeo romance and this only half delivered on that. I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

After the tragedy of the prior year the Copper Mountain Rodeo returns to Marietta with a bang! Cassidy Jane "CJ" Cooper is in town and plans on competing in the rodeo. No not as a barrel racer but against the men as a bronc rider. She's use to putting with the jeers and barbs of the men but Jesse Carmody isn't one of those harassing her. He's supportive and that attracts her to him even more than his fine good looks. Getting involved with anyone on the circuit is a bad idea and she tries to resist. He makes her dream of having it all, the man and the career. This is a very well done story that I think everyone will enjoy.

The 79th Copper Mountain rodeo has returned to Marietta Montana. The first book in the series is amazing. CJ has her work cut out for her to prove herself in a male dominance career as a saddle bronc rider. It's even harder when she meets charming cowboy and fellow competitor, Jesse. There is no denying their chemistry but can CJ have the best of both worlds. Loved this book, CJ is such a strong woman in a mostly male dominance career. Loved how she didn't cave in to the other riders. Jesse is pure wonderful in all aspects. Great dialogue. Looking forward to reading more of the rodeo series. I highly recommend.
