About the author

 Sarmistha Saha is an assistant professor in geography in Michael Madhusudan Memorial College, Durgapur, West Bengal. She is a gold medalist in geography and done her M.Phil from Centre for Studies in Regional Development (CSRD) JNU, New Delhi. She is having keen research interest on rural development and gender studies. Many of her papers are published in reputed international journals. Apart from teaching, she holds interest in music and travel. She loves to explore the field sites to draw geographical conclusion. She is a member of various geographical associations like NAGi, IIG, International Society for Environmental Information Sciences, Canada etc. Her work reflects the empirical observations related to the field of gender geography and rural development.
