About this ebook

If you can't stand the heat...

Lam Draeger’s deep wounds from the death of his young son and his

subsequent divorce were still healing when he was saddled with his

running his family’s cattle and rodeo stock ranch and the

responsibility of raising his siblings and keeping them out of

trouble. His every moment is devoted to running the ranch and business

smoothly. He’s had no time to mourn his many losses or try to rebuild

his personal life. And romance? Out of the question, no matter how

sweet the temptation.

...don't fall in love in the kitchen

Single mom Gwen Hobbs is right back where she swore she’d never be –

cooking in the kitchen at the Draeger ranch just like her mom before

her. But since her fiance and the father of her daughters walked out

on her, taking all their savings with him, she’s forced to be

practical. So she vows to ignore the attraction that hums between her

and Lam and to stop dreaming of becoming a chef. But when Lam suggests

she audition for a cooking competition, Gwen realizes that not all her

dreams are out of reach, and her growing hopes extend far beyond a

professionally tricked-out kitchen.

Two wounded souls that find an attraction that neither were looking for, but will help each other heal from their pasts. Lam is busy with his family ranch after his divorce and Gwen, single mom is at the ranch only temporarily with her two little girls. Gwen is the cook until she can get back on her feet. Neither can resist the attraction that I feel but will their wounded hearts let them. I so enjoyed this book, great characters that were very likeable. Loved how the little girls called Lam, Cowboy-Man. This is my first book by this author and will not be my last. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

This is a wonderful story of two wounded souls finding each other, coming together almost against their will, and helping each other heal. It's a beautiful love story that will steal your heart. I enjoyed this new to me author's writing style. It is very descriptive and layed the little town of Last Chance, TX right out before me. Her characters are interesting and well developed while the story has a nice pace to it. Overall I thought this was a very enjoyable read that I and I think everyone will enjoy it. I definitely recommend.

I absolutely adore this book. First off let me say this book is based in Last Stand, TX a new town that has quickly taken root not only in my heart but in many other readers hearts as well. Now on to this book...Oh what is not to love about a big strong manly cowboy that is able to put on a pair of fairy wings for a set of twin girls because he has fallen in love with them. Cowboy-Man as he is know by the sprites is not one to fall so easily. Gruff and grumpy when he finds a strange woman cooking and dancing in is kitchen in the middle of the night and oh yes those two wee ones curled up under the table fast asleep. Gwen Hobbs is an amazing chef and mom and yes we all get to see what Lam or Cowboy-Man thinks about her as we watch this family grow before our eyes. I am so looking forward to more books about the Draegers in the coming months.
