About this ebook

Dundee, Scotland: 1715. Her survival depends on a bargain struck with a handsome stranger…

Accused of witchcraft like her mother before her, Jessie Taskill finds herself behind prison walls, awaiting certain death. All she craves is to be free of witch hunters and united with her siblings at home in the Scottish highlands—where mystical ways are not punished, but accepted.

Salvation comes in the form of a roguish priest, unlike any man of the cloth she has known. But Gregor Ramsay is as far from holy as the devil himself. Gregor does not believe in magic, but has a canny plan to use the pretty harlot as bait to lure his enemy. His promise of freedom in return for her services could represent Jessie’s passage home to the highlands.

Then undeniable passion flares between them and emotion conflicts with their individual goals. Jessie begins to resent Gregor’s plan to have her seduce and ruin his enemy—especially when Gregor himself is so masterful and compelling. When the time comes for Gregor to send Jessie into his enemies lair, Jessie thrives—nourished by their physical passions—and everything Gregor thought he knew is rent asunder.

A bawdy historical, erotic romance novel. Please note: previously published with a different cover. This is an adult title and features earthy language and scenarios appropriate to the historical setting.

Magic and historical romance - blend them together and get ready for a crazy hot adventure that throws together a woman that is trying to hide her secret witchy-side (for fear of being burned alive like her mother) and a roguish Scotsman who has a plan of his own. The chemistry between this two is smoldering from the very beginning and as this gripping story continues they realize it is more than chemistry, it's a passion that can only be found once in a lifetime. This is the first book in the Witches series and sets the overall story up very well for more intriguing times as the Taskill siblings try to reunite after years apart while trying to deal with their magic and how others deal with it too. I look forward to reading how the other siblings will find each other and love on their journeys together I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

This is a good fantasy. This is the first book in a series about the Taskill children after they were forced to watch their mother accused and burnt as a witch they separated. The first book is about Jessie, she like her mother has been accused and is waiting in prison for her death. Gregor Ramsay enters into the picture and offers her a way to live and go to Scotland. This is not a conventional book it is pure fantasy but it was so good. Yes, there is heat but the intriguing story is what grabbed hold of me. Gregor got so much more than he planned. I am looking forward to the next book. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
