About this ebook

** A USA Today Bestselling Novel **

Years ago, we were in love. She was an up-and-coming superstar and I was the security professional hired to keep her safe. We fell hard and fast, no matter how much we tried to resist one another. But not everyone around us was happy about our relationship, and a string of lies and deceit destroyed what we once had. I moved on from her and didn’t look back.

Now I’ve taken the helm of a nationally renowned protective services company, and I’m looking to rebrand my career. The newly crowned Jameson Force Security is moving from the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas to the mountainous steel town of Pittsburgh, and the last thing I have time for is to deal with my past.

More than a decade has passed since our split, but even a bruised and battered heart remembers its first love. So when Joslyn Meyers comes to me for help, I reluctantly agree to keep her safe from a terrifying stalker who keeps threatening her life.

As the danger continues to intensify, it becomes clear that I’ll stop at nothing to protect the woman who turned her back on me all those years ago. Because one thing is certain—no matter how hard I try to convince myself otherwise, Joslyn still has my heart.

I have been waiting for Kynan's story since first meeting him in the Wicked Horse Vegas series. He's always been a mystery, so I was eager to understand this sexy Brit. This series is a spin off of the Wicked Horse Vegas series, but you don't need to read it or the crossover prequel novella Wicked Force to enjoy this book. I am a huge fan of second chance romances, and Kynan and Joslyn's story of young love gone wrong was right up my alley. The suspenseful elements kept the story moving and I loved getting to meet this new cast of characters. Kynan is 100% alpha male and though I wanted to throat punch him a time or two in the beginning, once he opens his heart again, he goes all in. I liked that Joslyn was a fighter and didn't just act like a damsel in distress the entire book. She certainly makes some mistakes, but she really shows her strength in the end. As much as I loved Kynan and Joslyn together, it took me a bit to really believe that their limited time together 12 years ago could stand the test of time. They certainly have chemistry though and once they reconnect, the sparks really fly! This was a great start to the series and I enjoyed the action as well as the romance. I'm excited to meet the rest of Jameson Force Security! 3.5 - 4 stars *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

Wow, there is something about Sawyer Bennett's new book that is so good I can't stop thinking about it. It's really that good and a perfect start to her new series. We met Kynan and Joslyn in Wicked Force so we got to see them fall in love, but then everything fell apart. Genesis picks up 12 years later - Kynan now owns Jameson Force Security and Joslyn is a successful singer, songwriter, and actress. The both got everything the wanted but something is missing for both of them. Now a stalker is terrorizing Joslyn and she needs the best which is Kynan. Joslyn going to Kynan was hard and Kynan taking the case just as hard but they realize that things in the past aren't always what the seem. Genesis is a second chance love story with fantastic characters in Kynan and Joslyn. I loved that at the core (past all the hurt they feel and growing up they did) they are essentially the same people we met in Wicked Force. Ms. Bennett writes these characters so well I felt like I was friends with them. The story is fast-paced with great dialog and storyline. It has everything from romance to action all the things I love. We also get to meet other members of Jameson who are also get their own books as part of this series which I am so excited to get. We also get to see a few old friends and people who influenced Kynan and Joslyn's story which was great. Don't get me wrong though - this is definitely Kynan and Joslyn's story. If you have never read Sawyer Bennett's books before then don't hesitate in getting started with Genesis. If you are already a fan then run dont walk and get Genesis - you wont be disappointed.

Sawyer Bennett has started this new series off with a vengeance. Code Name: Genesis is the first of many promising stand alone stories in her latest Jameson Force Security series. It is a cross-over series from her Wicked Force Series and I love the characters I meet here. After reading how Kynan and Joslyn got together twelve years ago, in Wicked Force, I completely fell in love with them. No you don't have to read this book to completely love Code Name: Genesis, but it makes both stories more enjoyable if you do. Besides, Sawyer creates an amazing world and I never wanted to leave it, so I'm more than happy to experience all that there is with these amazing characters. Back to Code Name: Genesis.... From the very start I was hooked. Sawyer is almost magical at creating a plot, characters and words that completely draw you in from the start and never let you go. Her world building ability is spectacular. She effortlessly (or so it seems to the reader) weaves snippets of storylines into past, present and future books that can be read as stand alone, but are enjoyed throughout her work. She has the perfect combination of building suspense, creating combustible chemistry and making it so characters burrow their way into your heart and never leave. Her ability as a writer forces the reader to burn through the pages to find out what is going to happen next. In this book Kynan is expanding his securites business. He is set to move to Pittsburg, when the one woman who got away, calls asking for his help. It's life or death and even though he doesn't want anything to do with her, he knows he doesn't have an option. Thus the beginning of this fantastic romantic suspense novel. After meeting the characters in this book, I certainly hope they each get their own book in the near future. I can't wait to see what Sawyer Bennett comes up with next!
