Información sobre este eBook

Thomas Ford has penned a remarkable work that aids even the youngest in the Christian faith with tools to demonstrate Scripture’s self-evident nature of being from God and divinely inspired. In this we find the doctrine of the authority of Scripture as Christians account it.

Ford teaches us that it is necessary to be well informed in understanding the doctrine of Scripture in this way in order to be fortified against the assaults of those that, “lie in wait to undermine you and turn up the foundations of your faith.” He shows that what is to be believed is not something simply found in the traditions of the church (as many think), but in the Holy Scriptures which have been given to us by God, confirmed in Jesus Christ, and which demonstrate God’s perfect will for our lives.

His aim is to set down the truth of the maxim, “Scripture is the only rule of faith.” And he demonstrates this beginning with 2 Peter 1:3, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.”

This is not a scan or facsimile, has been updated in modern English for easy reading and has an active table of contents for electronic versions.
