About this eBook

"Beautiful, soul-shattering, and utterly delicious." ~ Ilsa Madden-Mills, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and USA Today bestselling author

Bennett Sharp is on the run.

Wanted for piracy, she fears neither God nor death nor man.

Except Priest Farrell.

The unfaithful, stormy-eyed libertine hunts her with terrifying possessiveness. Nothing will stop him from coming for her. Not his unforgivable betrayal. Not when she's captured by the ice-cold pirate hunter, Lord Ashley Cutler.

She must escape Ashley's prison and Priest's deceit. But can she walk away from their twisted desires?

Two gorgeous captains stand on opposite sides of the law. When they collide in a battle to protect her, the lines blur between enemies and lovers.

Passion heats, secrets unravel, and hearts entangle until they break.

Can love prevail in the sea of ruin?

Contains: pirates, Caribbean, British literature, dark historical romance, American colonies, American history, Golden Age of Piracy, action and adventure, alpha male, anti-hero, dark romance

***5 Stars*** Hellloooo High Seas Adventure...with a good dose of dark and smexy and a cast of unique and entertaining characters that I wouldn’t mind going on more adventures with ~ well, minus some of the crazy dark stuff, but such is the life of a pirate. Bennett, Priest and Ashley. These three took me on one heck of a ride and I gotta say I fell into all kinds of adoration with them. Bennett, well, it’s pretty obvious why ~ I mean a kick booty heroine ALWAYS does it for me. Priest...MINE, seriously MINE, he’s all kinds of pirate smexy goodness ~ even when I wanted to Gibbs smack him. Ashley, he was a tougher nut to crack, but once one did appear...the man is lethal. Their journey was...intense. Enjoyable, frustrating, heartbreaking and simply one heck of a ride. The sexual chemistry between all of them was kinds of insane, but it was the emotional bonds that truly made them work for me and I loved how everything worked out for them. I’ve said this before, I don’t read much historical romance, but I’ve loved what this author’s other books and I recently got transported back to my teen years where all I read was historicals and one of my absolute favs was about a pirate, so I figured I’d give it a go and I really did enjoy getting lost on the high seas. I will admit that there were spots where things dragged a bit, but nothing major. As for the supporting cast of characters ~ there were more that I wanted to run through with a cutlass than hug, but there were two standouts from the crew of the Jade that I would love to spend more time with in the future, so toes crossed. Note: This is a DARK read. Triggers abound, so reader beware. ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~

No Spoilers - this is one of those the less you know going in the more intense the overall experience And it delivers Trust me 😇 "Today, Jobah said, slowly shaping his lips around each syllable, isn't your day" I need to collect my thoughts and avoid any spoilers I'll be back on the morrow with a full edict ☠ How do I tell you how this story made me cry, made me laugh, made me almost revisit my lunch - Without spoiling it for you? It was well written - the research showed The characters - I couldn't help but love them or in some cases extreme, and I do mean extreme, loathing occurred The telling itself? I was there I could feel the cold mist of the sea on my face The sting of the salt on my lips The tension right before the battle The slight fear of what was yet to come Every painful blow How do I share all that with you? "With every vile life that I took, I felt replete. I was a pirate captain, a rebel queen of the sea., fighting against the conformities of society." Captain Bennet is our mighty heroine in this story. She has earned the respect of her men. She has earned her name on the seas. She can stand rounds and continue standing with the best of them. She has secrets. "Unbending. Deadlocked. He wanted to entangle our future. I wanted to undo our past." Priest - 'Posideions wrath' hand me a fan than man had my heart a pounding. The first mate Reynolds ever devoted to his Captain And lest us not forget the King's man Ashley - he is one that is sure to cause your knees a quaking This had everything!! Adventure around every corner Battles at sea - Heartbreak - Vile atrocious evils (check the warnings here) - Storms - and TREASURE!

I thought I'd have to DNF it because the pace lagged in the beginning and later because love triangles are not my thing. However, the writing pulled me through, and even though most of the book was hard to read(there are lot of triggers: rape, physical violence, etc) I liked the ending. There's also cheating between the heroine and hero one but in the end, it's never really acknowledged by the hero. This is an MMF romance, but I think it would've been better as an MM romance because the chemistry between the men was way hotter. Thanks to the author for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
