Rick Hafele (www.rickhafele.com) has been studying aquatic insects and freshwater biology professionally for over thirty years. As a writer, he penned the Entomology column for American Angler magazine for thirty years, and has several major books to his credit including Complete Book of Western Hatches, An Angler’s Guide to Aquatic Insects and Their Imitations, Western Mayfly Hatches, and Nymph-Fishing Rivers and Streams. He is also the host of numerous instructional fly-fishing DVDs, among them Anatomy of a Trout Stream and Advanced Tactics for Emergers & Dries. He lives in Wilsonville, Oregon.

Dave Hughes is a highly respected fly-fishing writer with over two dozen books in print, including Trout from Small Streams: 2nd Edition, Handbook of Hatches: 2nd Edition, and Essential Trout Flies. He is a columnist for Fly Rod & Reel and Flyfishing & Tying Journal and travels to speak at fly-fishing clubs and conclaves throughout the country. He lives in Portland, Oregon.

Skip Morris (www.skip-morris-fly-tying.com) is the author of seventeen fly-fishing books—including Seasons for Trout, Tactics for Trout, and Trout Flies for Rivers—and hundreds of magazine articles. He fishes and writes from his home in Washington State.
