Second Time Around

This is a story that is very real in this day and age. Jonah Sheffield and Jillian Adams were HS sweethearts. When Jonah enlisted after graduation, both felt the other had hurt them. Now 12 years later, Jonah is back home , a shell of himself. While Jillian has an eight year old and an ex trying to get back together. While the three of them try to figure out what their futures will be , this story is more than a romance. It’s a story about the effects war has on the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to our freedom. Many have a difficult time returning to civilian life . Upon their return some suffer not only from physical injuries, but also emotional and psychological. PTSD is wide spread and as individuals as well as a nation, we need to do more to help these individuals. Kudos to the author for that reminder. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley.
