Born in 1961, Helen Chambers grew up in the North East of England. Her love of books started early with bedtime stories read by her father, but it was as a teenager that her passion for fantasy fiction truly took hold after reading The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, by Stephen Donaldson. Over the years Helen has made a hobby of writing original plays and pantomimes for schools and her local drama group. She delighted in creating âoff the cuffâ tales of adventure involving her own children and their friends. This gift for story telling led to her writing the âSecrets and Guardiansâ trilogy. The series was originally aimed at teen/young adult but is now being enjoyed by a much wider readership.
