One star off because I didn't really care that much about the Fairer Hand part - but the ending makes it worthwhile, I think. Probably should have expected it the whole time, given the premise of the book... Baru played her part well.

Bought the actual book at a sale and it's truly a beautiful piece. A must read.

He is an instructor at the Alpha Workshop for Young Writers, winner of the 2011 Dell Magazines Award, and a lapsed student of social neuroscience. He lives in Brooklyn, New York. The Traitor is his first novel.
