Something is rotten at the heart of Everly. Can Jack unravel the secrets to unmask a killer or will the town’s powerful continue closing ranks against him to protect their own petty sins? Oh my gosh! We have one more piece of the puzzle, but that seems to have only opened up more questions. I’ve learned better than to guess which way the author will take a story. Now, I’m just hanging on to discover what’s going to happen next. I received a complimentary advanced copy from the author.

Knows how to keep the reader hanging Jack, a recently hired detective, landed in the small town of Everly having to start running right away and going to bat for Andy, an overeager volunteer firefighter, at the scene of a house fire during the events of The Fate of Reality. As the story progresses roadblocks get higher, the path gets drier, and every step could draw the conclusion further into the fire. W.L. Knightly knows how to keep the reader hanging in Shadow in the Mirror. The case gets more heated and the parties involved find themselves closer to getting burned. I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

And we have another murder. Who ever thought small town living was quiet and peaceful never visited Everly. Jack knows there is something wrong but politics and maybe more are standing in his way. The suspense ramps up, the story speeds up and evil is gaining a foothold. This is a nail biting series (please read book 1 first—they build on each other). Monsters are hiding in the dark but there might even be monsters hiding in plain sight. Next book please NOW! Loving the story, can’t wait to see
