About this eBook

In the quiet town of Pine Ridge, a construction project near the lake unearths more than just dirt and stone - it reveals a centuries-old mystery that will shake the community to its core. When ancient human remains are discovered alongside mysterious artifacts, history teacher Elena Whitecloud finds herself drawn into an investigation that bridges the physical and spiritual worlds.

As more people begin to disappear and strange occurrences plague the town, Elena joins forces with Sheriff Marcus Thompson, determined journalist Becky Harris, and local historian Sam Littlebear to uncover the truth behind a generations-old curse. With the guidance of her grandfather, a respected tribal elder, and help from newcomer Jake Henderson - a man wrestling with his own family's connection to Pine Ridge's dark past - Elena races to break the curse before it claims more victims.

"Shadows Over Pine Ridge" weaves together Native American tradition, historical mystery, and supernatural suspense in a compelling tale about the power of reconciliation. As the town's Native American and African American communities confront their shared history, they must overcome ancient betrayals and modern prejudices to forge a new path forward. This gripping debut novel explores themes of unity, healing, and the courage required to face the shadows of the past.

Perfect for fans of diverse fiction, supernatural mystery, and stories about community healing, this atmospheric novel will keep readers spellbound until the final page.

About the author

My goal is to bring a positive view of life experiences in my writing. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., I grew up surrounded by the nation's capital's vibrant culture and diverse communities. My teenage years were spent in Maryland, where I sincerely appreciated the unique blend of urban and suburban life.

From a young age, I was known for my shy and quiet demeanor, often finding solace in my thoughts and observations. This reflective nature led me to develop a keen interest in people, particularly in the wisdom and experiences of older adults. I spent countless hours in the company of elders, listening to their stories and learning from their perspectives.

This early exposure to intergenerational interactions instilled in me a profound respect for the lessons that can be understood by those who have lived through different times.

My journey took a significant turn when I joined the Army and served in Desert Storm. The experiences I gained during my military service were transformative, teaching me about resilience, teamwork, and the complexities of human nature. The discipline and perspective I acquired in the Army have been invaluable in shaping my worldview and approach to writing.
