About this eBook

Shane Remington has it all. He has a great family. He’s built his guest ranch into a great business. He’s a good-looking guy and he knows it. Everyone loves him. He may not have a woman, but that’s okay, he can have any woman he wants—and usually does. There is one woman who seems impervious to his charms though, and for some reason it bothers him.

Cassidy Lane has it all, too. She’s a talented artist, who has made it commercially. She’s successful in her work and in her life. Whatever she wants, she makes it happen. She came to Montana for a new adventure and it’s working out perfectly. The one thing she doesn’t want—or need—is a man.

Shane Remington may be annoyingly attractive, but Cassidy knows he can’t handle her. Guys like him want a small, sweet woman to feed their ego—not a strong smart woman like her to challenge it.

There’s no denying the attraction between them, but will it be enough to bring together a woman who doesn’t want anyone and a guy who wants everyone?

This book is intended for adult readers aged 18+

Summer Lake Silver is a new series featuring couple in their fifties and older. Just because a few decades—or more—have skipped by since you were in your twenties it doesn’t mean you can’t find love, does it? Summer Lake Silver stories find happily ever afters for those who remember being thirty-something—vaguely.

Clay and Marianne in Like Some Old Country Song

Love in Nashville

Everyone knows that Nashville is the home of country and with so many Country songs about love it seems natural to find love in Nashville. Unfortunately, just like the road to the Grand Ole Opry, so many aspire but only the lucky ones, who work at it, find harmony center stage.

Comfortable in his own skin, Shane may be the baby of his family, but he is fully confident in his prowess and good looks. Cassidy is just as confident, however, she has previously paid the price for being who she is and is unwilling to allow any man to negate her talent and ability as an artist. Initially Shane and Cassidy play a game of one-upmanship until their interaction becomes real. Unfortunately, there is more than one fly in the ointment and attempts to sever their connection abound. The attraction sizzled between Cassidy and Shane from the opening chapters and I enjoyed seeing how their interaction changed from jockeying for top position to becoming two people who respected and needed each other. This is a warm and lighthearted romance, and whilst it is part of a series, it is a standalone and can be read as such.

As a huge fan of everything SJ writes I am always super exited to get my hand on another one of her amazing stories!! Shane is the second book in her new Remington Ranch series and it was awesome! We met both Shane and Cassidy in the first book and the sparks were already flying! Both of these characters are in a place in their lives where a relationship is the last thing they want, but when their attraction to each other can no longer be denied, things take on a life of their own. Like all of her other books, this one is both sweet and steamy with enough conflict to keep things interesting but not make you want to tear all your hair out and throw your kindle across the room! I highly recommend this book and all of SJ's others!!

Shane by S.J. McCoy is a fantastic western romance. Ms. McCoy has delivered a well-written book populated with outstanding characters. Cassidy is an artist that leaves the east to move west to the mountains. Shane wants to go out with Cassidy but she's not having it. Cassidy and Shane's story is packed with drama, humor, spice and a touch of suspense. I enjoyed reading Shane and look forward to reading more from S.J. McCoy in the future. Shane is book 2 of the Remington Ranch Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

About the author

Hi, I'm SJ, a coffee addict, lover of chocolate and drinker of good red wines. I'm a lost soul and a hopeless romantic. Reading and writing are necessary parts of who I am. Though perhaps not as necessary as coffee! I can drink coffee without writing, but I can't write without coffee.

I grew up loving romance novels, my first boyfriends were book boyfriends, but life intervened, as it tends to do, and I wandered down the paths of non fiction for many years. My life changed completely a couple of years ago and I returned to Romance to find my escape.

I write 'Sweet N Steamy' stories because to me there is enough angst and darkness in real life. My favorite romances are happy escapes with a focus on fun, friendships and happily-ever-afters, just like the ones I write.

These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I'm not reading or writing you'll find me just down the road in the park - Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way :0)
