This completely adorable middle grade graphic novel is equal parts fun and humor. In Miss Quinzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet's Camp for Hardcore Lady Types, five girls, who are fast friends have various adventures with the supernatural occurrences close to their camp, be it three-eyed foxes, a water monster, some booby-trapped caves, or a camp of brainwashed boys. Each chapter has a badge requirement prefacing it, with an adventure related to that activity - like the 'Up All Night' badge has them facing down the foxes in the forest, while the 'Nautical' badge has them being attacked by a river monster during their rowing training. The girls are in danger, yes, but they are also brave, smart, and are able to meet these challenges and fight their way through, and nearly be back in bed before being caught by their cabin leader, who simultaneously dotes on, and is also exasperated by them. The artwork is nice - while the lineart and character design doesn't impress me, the coloring and details do make up for it, giving it an overall cutesy vibe. I can't wait for more adventures with them.

This comic reminds me of the stories my mom used to tell me before bed when I was a kid. I love how each of the characters are unique and end up saving each other using their own talents. It secretly teaches you things that you may have forgotten or just how to be a good friend!
