Not usually the sort of book i read but the synopsis piqued my interest and so I bought it. I actually really enjoyed it. I liked how the 3 parts were told by different characters, effectively filling in the blanks of each other's stories. The story was gripping and kept me wondering. I'm usually good at spotting "twists" but I genuinely didn't see this one coming. Really good stuff.

Tbh, started off slow - then was very very good. One of the more captivating and interesting books I've read. ( saw the final twist coming - but was still shocked)

Amazing that a non native to the islands can conjure up the eerie beauty of the Faulkland islands. The sense of isolation and the depth of character is incredible. This islands are a well thought out character of their own. I had worked out the plot about halfway but it didn't detract at all.
