This is the 15th (and last) book in the Badge of Honor series. This is Penelope and Moose’s book. Susan Stoker does an amazing job of not only showing us about the everyday hardships of PTSD but also of PostPartum Depression. Susan Stoker shows how hard each of these are and how a support system is so important. This book also has the Seals from the Seals of Protection series and the Deltas from the Delta Force Heroes as well as a few cameos of the other characters she has written about. This story, which we have waited forever for, will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first page until the last page. This is an awesome read!!! She totally outdid herself!!! Can Penelope get her mind straight? Will she figure out/remember what happened back there with the terrorists? Will they survive until the end of the book? Who gets married and who’s preganant? And the most important question... why oh why is this the end of the series?? I need more! Go one click on this book!! You WILL NOT be sorry you did!! The narrator, Erin Mallon, did an awesome job!!

OUTSTANDING ! I was gifted an advanced readers copy of Shelter For Penelope . The 15th and final in the Badge Of Honor series (tears ) . I absolutely love this story . Penelope Turner a Soldier and Firefighter was captured and held for months by ISIS . Since being rescued She's tried to deal with PTSD and the trauma , doubt and memory loss . Not being able to deal with it all and not asking for help she fled Texas . Tucker (Moose) Jacobs fellow Firefighter and the man in love with Penelope has been patiently waiting for her return . Penelope and her companion pet finally return home and Moose has had enough . Penelope needs to realize he and their unique group of friends have her bacdefink and will never let her down . This story is absolutely beautiful and an amazing story , definitely very emotional journey for Penelope and Moose . A real tear jerker . Moose is the perfect support and security for Penelope . I'm sad to see this series end but look forward to the next series .

This book was good I enjoyed reading about what Penelope went through when she was captured and how Moose and everyone else tried to help her through her criticizes. I'm sad that this is the last book in the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes I'm going to miss everyone in this series just like i miss the people in the Seal of Protection series and the Delta Force Heroes series. But I'm glad Susan Stoker has new book series now.
