Wow, I loved this book!!! This is fast paced romantic suspense at it's best. Carol is an analyst for the CIA and Andy is a private contractor for them, when Carol starts looking into some anomalies. Carol's boss tasks Andy with removing Carol from the situation to protect her and assist with her research, expect Carol's never met Andy... What follows is a well crafted novel that kept me turning pages just as quickly as possible. This novel started with a bang and maintained the pace until the very end. I was sorry when it ended and am already looking forward to the author's next book. The Tarnished Heroes is phenomenal and focuses on a hero who's got some transgressions in his past, but in a complex way that makes for a compelling character that you can't help but fall a bit in love with. This is a must read for fans of the genre. While part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however, it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.
