About this eBook

Rhy Ellison, former elite Navy SEAL Commander, retired from the teams the same way he lived, in a blaze of glory. After nearly thirty years of stellar service, he almost crashes and burns, but his hard-earned reputation saves him from a court martial. Now all he wants is to kick back in Margaritaville, but the Department of Homeland Security has other ideas.

The DHS Special Group Leader offers him a contract he couldn’t refuse, they need him to put his famed skills back in the game and help recover vital information stolen from a CIA asset overseas. When Rhy learns the CIA pain-in-the-asset involved is none other than Harper Chandler, a woman he never wants to see again, much less work with, taking the mission becomes a no-go, even with the money.

Then he learns the missing dossier could clear him of crimes he’s been accused of that led to his court martial, Ryh signs on without a second thought. The opportunity to clear his name is too important to be brushed aside. Especially by the woman directly responsible for killing his men, and almost his career.

He’ll pay the price of working with the beautiful, cocky, know-it-all if that’s what it takes. But he refuses to allow her to get him killed or give her another shot at his heart.

Rye, former SEAL, is living a life of peaceful bliss on the beach until his past comes back to haunt him. Rye’s former SEAL team was ambushed while serving in Afghanistan, killing his team. Seeking revenge, Rye goes rogue killing the man second in charge to the man who ordered the ambush. Nearly sent to prison, he’s rescued by the testimony of Crash and Harper. When Crash approaches Rye with the opportunity to capture, kill the man responsible for killing his team, Rye accepts the mission. Although he’s not too happy to be working with Harper again. Harper, CIA Communications Specialist, has devoted her life to the government. Harper has spent her time searching for the men responsible for the deaths of the SEAL team, never leaving Afghanistan. At one time, Harper dreamed of the possibility of a future with Rye. Now she’s just trying to prove to him he can trust her. She knows that he thinks she’s the “leak” that caused the deaths of his men as she was in charge of communications the night his team was ambushed. Although I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, I thought the beginning was a little confusing and had to re-read it. I didn’t realize Crash and Silas were the same person. I did enjoy the storyline though. It was fast-paced, action-packed, and suspenseful. I would’ve liked to have seen more of a connection with Rye and his new SEAL team. They idolized him and did as commanded, but they didn’t seem to be a cohesive unit. I hope to see Rye & Harper in other Silver SEALs novels. They’ve all been worth the read! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
