This is a different take on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This story is realy quick on the realtionship and you could read pretty much what would happen next. That said I still enjoyed reading the story. Snow is not a damsel in destress in this retelling, she rocks hard A. We will see that the Dwarfs are mages and we have other magical beings. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was an amazing retelling of the classic, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Snow, evil queen, the seven, this has it all, even a dragon. I enjoyed every minute of this book, the ups and the downs, the happy and the sad moments. There is love, loss, and so much more. A little fae thrown in and you have the perfect story for the ages. I am new to Silvana's writings, but I will be checking more of her work out. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Silvana Sánchez, Ash and Snow (Second Stone Press, 2022) 309p Set in the olden times with a humor that is suitable for today’s modern time. The tone of Maleath reminded me of the attitude of Merida, a Modern Disney Princess. It is as if Maleath is the grown-up version of Merida. With the mention of a spell to be broken, I was reminded of a Disney Classic Tale “Beauty and the Beast” which is a childhood favorite. Silvana Sánchez has created a novel which reminds me of my classic favorites.
