I don't know how these women are not traumatized for life the way stuff continues to happen to them. Sometimes the incidents are related to cases but most tie deep dark secrets in their past. In this case there's some bad blood and blackmail covering the families dark secrets. In the meantime discovering a serial killer and uncovering the location of missing women is the priority right behind keeping their wives and partner safe. Tons of action and revelations, this author most definitely keeps you busy tracking all of it. This is a great series sometimes with action flowing into the next book and sometimes it's a standalone. Either way this is a really good series to binge read.

I love these characters in the Count to Ten series and when they hurt, I hurt right along with them. In Six, Paige is struggling to have a life. The unexpected happens and her life is thrown in another loop. Can this woman ever get a break? But her strength and inner soul will have you rooting for her through and through. Annabelle had made me crazy when she decided to shut out Xavier. These two had to stay together. So those are my initial thoughts starting the book. The horror that the new characters went through and the ending was not what I wanted to happen. This is a very good thing. We can't have every story ending with hearts and flowers. Six will bring you full suspense, drama, and some blood and gory details. It's the strength that these characters have and all the love they share that makes you feel protective of them. Six kept me glued to the pages late into the night. I woke up the next day with a huge book hangover! We only have 4 books left in this series!!! What happens next is anyone's guess!

About the author

Jane has loved reading and writing since she can remember. She writes dark and disturbing crime/mystery/suspense with some romance thrown in because, well, who doesn’t love romance?! She has several series including the complete Detective Parker Bell series, the Count to Ten series, the Christmas Romantic Suspense series, and the Flashes of Fate series of novelettes.

When she’s not writing Jane loves to read, bake, go to the beach, ski, horse ride, and watch Disney movies. She has a black belt in Taekwondo, a 200+ collection of teddy bears, and her favorite color is pink. She has the world’s two most sweet and pretty Dalmatians, Ivory and Pearl. Oh, and she also enjoys spending time with family and friends!
