Skryf was nog altyd ’n deel van Madelie Human se lewe, maar sy het eers op vyftig ernstig begin skryf. ’n Vriendin het haar uitgedaag om fiksie te skryf, en romanse was die logiese keuse omdat dit haar gunstelinggenre is om te lees. In 2008 publiseer LAPA haar eerste Romanza en dit wen ’n Woordveertjie. Madelie is nou ’n gevestigde skrywer met meer as dertig Romanzas op haar kerfstok.
