About this ebook

Dive into this steamy and action-packed Viking reverse harem romance!

There were three men in my mind. One in the past, two in the present. How was a girl supposed to think like that?

Lainie never expected to be admitted to the prestigious Time Travel Academy.

She never expected to study runes, ancient languages and meet real life Vikings.

And she certainly didn't expect to fall for her teacher... and a Viking... and a mysterious archivist.

When a forbidden jump in time goes wrong, Lainie will have draw to on everything she's learned to make her way back into the present - and into the arms of her men.

A full-length steamy reverse harem novel full of action, intrigue and hot Vikings, set in both past and present. Includes resources to learn basic runes and Old Norse!

Previously published as a serial. This book combines all five episodes and includes a bonus scene.

Previously titled Norsemen Academy.

I really enjoyed this though would have loved it to be longer, with more info about the TTA and some background about how time travel was discovered. I found the way the 3 men casually accepted each other, esp the Archivist, a tad unlikely. For a young virgin to just decide she fancies the Archivist is fine but to decide it means she must have a relationship with him when she is already half in love with her tutor.... Despite this it was still a fun read I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is book one of the Academy of Time series and the main character is a young woman called Lainie, who is offered a prestigious place to the Time Travel Academy (TTA). She applied much later than most, as she had spent the last few years looking after her mother who was ill with cancer and getting a place means her mother will no longer have to worry about medical bills and carers costs, as they will be covered by the academy. Twenty eight new first year students arrive the same day as she does and out of those only her and two other females, Kaycee and Maryam, are placed in a fast-track class, basically for not puking their guts up when they were portalled in. It apparently means they will be able to handle jumps further back in time, much more easily. They will start their lessons the very next morning and it seems like it is going to be intense. She is put in a shared room with one of the other girls, to make her get used to uncomfortable situations, when she said she wanted a single room! What she didn’t expect, was to be falling for the looks of her Viking, yes in real life from the past Viking, teacher, in a class with just the other two advanced students. Learning all about Viking customs and having to learn the spoken language of Old Norse as well as over two hundred and fifty runes for vocabulary purposes. It seems her feelings for her teacher Hjalmar are also reciprocated, by the looks he keeps giving her. She is in the Hummingbird year of studies and has three more years to go, so really shouldn’t be messing about thinking that way. Unable to sleep one night, she jogs about the ground floor for some exercise, but runs into someone known as the Archivist, no actually name other than that, as it is given up for the role, which is for life! He is also attractive, but in a different way from her Viking teacher. He takes her back to the Archive, which is hidden under the other floors of the underground school and shows her a bit of what he does and asks for her help to find an artifact that has gone missing. A panic attack in class leads her back in Hjalmar’s office and bundled up in his arms, which is quite a comforting place to be! To distract her, he offers to take her on a time jump to his Viking village, where his mother still lives. Hjalmar was in trouble a year or so ago, after he undertook a time jump with another student, who died apparently, with Hjalmar bringing back just a severed arm as proof of the young student’s death. He was placed on probation and offered a place as a teacher in the academy, which is how he ended up teaching Lainie and the others. They wait until the lunch break and then time travel back, ending up in his family’s barn. Things start to get hot and steamy between them, with their proximity during the jump allowing them to experience each other’s thoughts and emptions somehow. Just as they get into a clinch together, his time travel bracelets glitch and he disappears, leaving her all alone. She is still dressed in her white uniform from the academy and hopes the nearest house is someone that knows Hjalmar. It turns out it is his younger brother Asger’s house and he has another person in his home, who turns out to be a complete shock, but is also useful in acting as an interpreter for her. It seems her few lessons in Viking language and runes hasn’t really helped her to understand much of the spoken word. Stuff goes wrong and she has to work out how to get back by herself! A fun read with some in-depth Old Norse language and runes use and a nice summary at the end of some more if they strike your fancy. This book was previously told in serial format as the Norsemen Academy series, but is much better being able to be read all in one go. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Lainie is finally accepted into the Time Travel Academy. In exchange, her ill mother will be taken care of for the rest of her life. Hjalmar doesn’t seem like a “normal” kind of teacher and Lainie is definitely enamored of him. Then she meets the Archivist and can’t seem to stop thinking about him. Follow this all up with Asger who has been dreaming of her for a long time. The concept of the story is interesting although I think there could have been a little more character development. We get a lot of Lainie but not much on the men. This book is a good read and I would recommend it be added to your wishlist. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
