A dangerous read as it made me want to drive fast in my car pretending I was in a starfighter. My first Brandon Sanderson book and it won't be my last. I have to say i got completely hooked. My only complaint is a happy coincidence in the story which moves the story along a great deal. Without giving it away, it's something being found by the right person at exactly the right time. I don't usually put up with that kind of thing. I would have preferred there to be a reason why said thing was found at just at the right time instead of it being such a convenient coincidence, but the writing is go good that i could look past it... something i never usually do.

I am not a geek or a nerd, or a Sci fi fan in the least. I don't follow Star Trek, have never seen Star Wars and have no interest in any other universe Sci fi book or film etc. So for a book to completely convert someone within a matter of minutes is crazy and shows what a masterpiece this is, that it can be read by audience, understood and greatly enjoyed. I found this book more gripping than Harry Potter. By far. I will be preordering the sequel, and will try and get an autographed copy from Brandon Sanderson. This is such a fantastic book and I sat there reading it on the bus, at work, at home, stopping in the street to read it. I was getting frustrated at parts where I couldn't wait for things to happen, or was expecting things to happen and then they didn't. I was looking up fanart for this book, music videos and everything. I want this book series to become a film and I want it now. A petition must be started. Also I demand a romance between her and Jorgen. Spencer is sexy.

I normally don't read si-fi novals, but I am used to Brandon's style of writing now that I still wanted to read it. He starts off pretty face paced and feel invested in the main character and you feel like you yourself are also pushing for her to be defiant. Not alot of plot twists, but definitely lots of questions that get answered. Left me wanting more or another book, but I feel it finished on a good note and maybe another book might ruin Spins story. Overall highly recommend 👍. Camoz out!
