O texto foi publicado originalmente por Rink, em 1803, na casa de Friedrich Nicolavius, Königsberg. A presente tradução utilizou o texto publicado em Werke in zehn Bänden, editada por Wilhelm Weischedel, Wissenschaftliche Buchgesellschaft, Darmstadt, 1964, vol. 10, pp. 697-761.
