I got this as an ARC for a review and hadn’t read any of the previous books from this author or in the series before reading this one and you don’t need to. I had some mixed feelings about this book in the beginning because the main characters fell in love really fast. Also, the months flew by, but as the author told me “It would be Jackie painting walls in the bar”. As Jackie and Jeff’s relationship evolves through the challenges of a new relationship, family drama and both of them chasing their dreams, Jackie never gave up - even when she wanted to. With some help from Jeff and the unexpected support from strangers in the community her dream becomes a reality. There is a little bit of drama that comes with a small town, but it’s a touching story of a community who steps in to help a struggling newcomer. It’s a book I would recommend to fans of romantic gestures, big dreams and a small town supporting each other for the greater good of the community.
