Let's Ride: Sonny Barger's Guide to Motorcycling

This is a wonderful book written by a very interesting guy. If you're going to be taking up the sport of motorcycling and want to soak up as much as you can before taking your training class, this is a great read. You get a lot of backstory which backs up what the author tells you in regards to the important things about riding and what you need to know and what you can forget about. It's akin to sitting at a café with the author and having him tell you all about his life and what he knows as someone who has been riding the majority of his life. Things a rider of under 25 years wouldn't be able to tell you. It's rather well written which was surprising (and why I purchased the book). I'd pull the trigger on this one if you're new or fairly new to riding.

Very thorough although sometimes a little bit too overprotecting. Also the narrative feels like you are talking to Barger in a pub somewhere sharing his anecdotes opposed to a well structured overview of his bike experience. But maybe that's just the way this type of experience is handed down.

I agree with his ideas and direction for keeping all of us alive to ride another day. Loved it!
