prevent drug use in their communities. This curriculum aims to provide a comprehensive
understanding of the factors contributing to drug initiation and addiction, as well as
strategies for promoting healthy behaviors and making informed decisions.
Throughout the workshop, participants will engage in interactive activities, discussions,
and guest speaker presentations to enhance their understanding and application of the
concepts learned. They will also have the opportunity to develop action plans,
collaborate with local organizations, and evaluate their progress to ensure sustainable
and effective prevention initiatives.
The Preventing Drug Use Workshop recognizes the importance of cultural competence,
inclusivity, and collaboration to tailor prevention strategies to specific communities. It
emphasizes the need for ongoing support, mentoring, and continuous learning to
maintain momentum and keep participants engaged and informed about emerging
trends and research in the field of drug prevention.
By implementing the Preventing Drug Use Workshop curriculum, we can build a strong
network of individuals and communities committed to creating healthier, safer
environments that prioritize the well-being and health of individuals. Together, we can
make a meaningful and lasting impact in preventing drug use, reducing addiction rates,
and promoting overall well-being. Let us work collectively to create a brighter and
drug-free future for all.
Additionally, there's a section on prevention of fentanyl use, gambling, social media, and unhealthy sexual behavior.
My name is Stanley Scott Jr. I am a California alcohol drug educator, California treatment addiction counselor, a labor assistance professional, a men's mentor, an author of books based on spiritual principles, and a public health major.
I have written this book to provide a curriculum for the prevention of a number of addictions and unhealthy behaviors. I have taught and practiced a number of these preventive tools for more than 12 years and myself and others have had very successful results. Therefore I am sharing them with the public in a curriculum preventive-based form. I encourage you all to focus on the preventive aspect of public health and create safer, healthier, and loving lives for all the people you encounter.
