My biggest beef with this book is that it reads like someone describing a movie scene for scene, rather than someone telling an actual story. The story shifts between having just one character as the focal point in a scene, and then suddenly we're getting to know what every single character in another scene is thinking and feeling. It feels sloppy and inconsistent, in both the way the story was told and in appearance as well. The scene sometimes shifts with only a few line breaks to announce it, and other time the author uses a line of ellipses. As with the Catalyst book, I also caught a distracting number of typos. That all being said, the book was tolerable. It adds a bit more to the characters that we don't see in the movie, and there is actual emotion in the story, which makes it easier to follow along with. In the end, this is not a book I would recommend, but I also wouldn't tell someone to not bother reading it, either.

See the film, it's better than the book. Fleshing out of characters would've helped the book and barring one line between Ren and Rey there isn't really anything here different to the film.

Seen the movie twice & loved it. Reminiscent of the originals (the better ones). Additional scenes & dialogue is great. My question is, where's page 193? I bought this online because it was cheaper than the hardcopy. Could someone get their act together!
