About this ebook

WANTED: One Lunar Witch, preferably naïve.

Being born a witch has always been just a detail from my past, you know, like summer camp, or the time Timmy ate a bug, but now, thanks to one very pushy Immortal, a handful of mutant shifters, a psycho named Chaos and a nice guy (I think) named Emmet, my magic’s become a real pain in my ass.

San Diego was a totally chill choice for college, until this whole moon-cycle madness was thrown in my lap (more like shoved in my face) and now I’m bumbling with basic spells, crash studying to go from zero to fierce in a matter of days.

Only problem with this test is that it’s graded pass/fail where failure is death.

I wouldn’t wish magic on anyone. It attracts all the wrong entities, the kind you can’t run from, the kind who always find you, the kind who know your dark secrets even before you do.

One thing's for sure... there's magic in the moonlight.

great fantasy! plot is pretty typical -- the world is under imminent threat and only our heroine can save it. But this one occurs in a world paralleling our contemporary one. There are Immortals, witches, shifters and more but there are also whole new classes of supernaturals as well. Things called magistrates, Shadow Warriors, and Mist Riders. Really imaginative beings which for all their significant powers, are plagued by the same vices as humans. Our heroine has to be very cynical and aware to avoid being used to her detriment. This world is rich, creative, and I could easily get absorbed into observing its activities. I can wholeheartedly recommend this to any fantasy lover.

7/10 It was okay, but had some serious flaws. There were huge gaps of time with no setup. After a few paragraphs it becomes clear that it is a month later in the story. Other inconsistencies almost made me want to give it 3 stars.
