First off I need to say that I don't like romance novels. I don't like how sappy the characters can be, and how unbelievable it is to me. I even found that at first I really didn't like the main female at the beginning, but that did change over time. That being said I found that the romance to believability ratio was great in my mind. I liked how relatable the characters are. I have lived in Edmonton, which made an even bigger impact on me as I was able to not just imagine the places, but remember them. You know when a book can evoke not just an image, but a memory--that was His 16th face for me. And once the action portions were introduced I was hooked. I can't wait for the sequel to come out. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

I rearly give reviews, but i feel this is a must! I enjoyed reading this book so much! it confused me yet still intrigued me. I did not know what was happening and couldnt figure out the end at all! i was sooo happy when i saw that the series continued- otherwise i would have definitely cried!! the characters sometimes irritated me, but in a good way since its normal to feel the way she felt. i could relate without ever being in her shoes. I LOVED THIS BOOK - even if i dont always like supernatural books!

A riverting read from beginnng to end Full of suspense and twists, this story grabs your interest from beginning to end. The story concept is very unique and totally captivating. The storyline is dramatic and well-paced. The main characters are relatable and yet unusual. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who reads romance and suspense. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

About the author

Finding a book to read can be hard work.  Stephanie Van Orman thought so.  She could never find anything she wanted to read, so she decided that if the book she wanted hadn't been written yet, then she had to write it.  She started writing novels at age 13 and wrote no fewer than 11 novels before she finally wrote one that was worth reading.  When you pick up a novel written by Stephanie, you aren't picking up a debut novel or a first crack at writing.  You are reading something that has been years in the making.  In 2020, Stephanie celebrates her 25th year writing novels.  She writes romance novels with a twist of fantasy, suspense, perhaps science fiction, but always with that hook of following someone interesting somewhere where you definitely shouldn't go.  Enjoy the page-turning magic that is one of her creations.
