About this eBook

Britt Anderson is retired. Secretive and fiercely independent, she journeys to Delroi to spend time with her two oldest friends. She doesn’t expect to be dragged back into the spy business when she gets there, but the lure is impossible to fight for a not so reformed adrenalin junkie. Danger. Conspiracy. What’s not to love?

But there’s always a price and it presents itself as the darkly dangerous Barak Trace. She can’t deny the attraction, but has enough sense to steer clear of the possessive glint in his gaze. Until he somehow manages to merge his psychic abilities with hers. When he’s captured by rebel forces, she has no choice but to go after him. The question is will she be able to free herself once he’s rescued? And will she even want to?

A bit of an improvement over book 2, mostly because the leads are such strong characters (& because *this* heroine has the decency to alert the new Earth girl about the mating bond & its implications). Hints had been dropped in the previous books about the rebellion of the southern tribes & I'd hoped to get a clearer picture of it here, but things are left frustratingly vague. It's never explained *why* the tribes have a problem with northern rule, & when it's discovered that the rebellion has split into factions, the reasons for that are never explained either. Disappointing.

About the author

Loribelle Hunt is a beach bunny at heart, but in a pinch she’ll settle for a pool. An Atlanta native, the Army relocated her to southern Alabama more years ago than she cares to remember. Since it only snows once every two decades or so, she decided to stay. She lives with her husband of twenty years, their three kids, and way too many English Springer Spaniels. She writes science fiction and paranormal romance often with a Southern accent.
