この電子書籍について

Street photographs are mirror images of society, the subjects are usually unaware that they are being photographed, creating a spontaneous response to life as it happens in front of your eyes. Street photography is unplanned. You really never know what you’re going to get on any given day. A street photo should tell a story, or causes you wonder what is happening at the moment.

London is a street photographer's dream. Public markets offer a treasure trove of photos, so you will see images from Borough, Camden and Portabella markets. The city is always crowded and is an excellent source of candid photos. This book is a collection of black and white images of people caught in the act of going about their daily lives.

著者について

Jim Williams lives in British Columbia, Canada and has been an amateur photographer for decades. In the past few years he has been travelling the world and has become keenly interested in street photography.

While there are many interpretations and definitions of street photography, Jim's guidelines are thus: Street photography is photography that features the human condition within public places, depicting everyday public life. Street photographs are mirror images of society, the subjects are usually unaware that they are being photographed, creating a spontaneous response to life as it happens in front of your eyes. Street photography is unplanned. You really never know what you're going to get on any given day. A street photo should tell a story, or causes you wonder what is happening at the moment.

Jim has published several books of street images from interesting cities that radiate urban life. These books contain black and white images of people, spontaneously captured while they go about their daily routines.
