Fun, engaging read, good writing style and somewhat unique story, not the typical. And although I didn't like the Duke's personality ( he appeared like a weakling- which actually made the story great, because for once it's the man who was the " dameselle in distress", needing to be rescued), For this i give it 4 stars. However, I took off one star because there were a few Engish mistakes throughout the book: ( missing words, or doubling of conjuctions) as if the book had not been proofread. Also, not sure if it is because it's the electronic version, the font kept changing even though I selected a specific font to read in, it seems like the original story was loaded in different fonts. This is the 2nd book in the series, and the first one I read; I would recommend this book, and believe I will track down the others, hopefully they will be unique too and not a repeat of this story as so many serial books tend to be.

The story is entertaining & having a lead male that isn't a macho-man is a welcome change. Unfortunately the sequence of events (i.e. the lead characters living together before they're married) aren't plausible for a period piece, from my prospective.
