About the author

Brandon Terrell was a children's book author, born in 1978 in Eagle Lake, Minnesota. He was a graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2000 and was also graduated from Hamline University's MA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults. He worked in filmmaking for a decade but switched to writing. His picture books, chapter books, and graphic novels covered such subjects as sports stories, spooky tales and mysteries. His work included the Horrorwood comic book series with illustrator Brent Schoonover; six volumes in the Tony Hawk's 900 Revolution series; several Sports Illustrated Kids graphic novels; Archie Strikes Gold, in the Smithsonian Historical series; two books in the Michael Dahl Presents: Mysteries: The Incredible Shrinking Horror, and The 30,000-Foot Ghost; and two Jake Maddox graphic novels: A Taste for Victory, and Home Ice Rivals. He was also a writer for The Choo Choo Bob Show. Brandon Terrell died on January 4, 2021 at the age of 42.
