Susan Daffron is the President of Logical Expressions, Inc. and the author of multiple fiction and nonfiction books, including several about pets and animal rescue. She lives in a small town in northern Idaho and shares her life with a number of extremely furry dogs who are all "rescues." Her most recent novels include a mystery series with a cool dog named Zelda and a series of small town romantic comedy novels that feature many quirky dogs and cats.
Susan's own pets all were adopted from animal shelters and rescue groups. After adopting her pets, Susan became interested in pet care and humane issues. She worked at an animal shelter as an employee, board member, and a volunteer. She also was a veterinary assistant at a low-cost spay/neuter clinic.
Susan was the President and Founder of the National Association of Pet Rescue Professionals (NAPRP). The membership was made up of people working for animal shelters, humane societies or rescue groups. NAPRP's mission was to provide the knowledge, tools, and information rescue professionals need to save more pets. As a result of her work, she was invited to speak at a number of animal-related conferences, including those put on by Best Friends Animal Society and the Humane Society of the United States.
