They were the trusted voices disseminating his political and cultural propaganda about the “New Germany,” brushing aside the Nazis’ atrocities. Distrustful of his own Foreign Ministry, Hitler used his aristocrats to open the right doors in Great Britain and the United States, creating a formidable fifth column within government and financial circles.

I didn't expect to learn as much in this book as I did. I expected to get things I already knew about the subject in different wording. Granted, there were a lot of parts where that was the case. It wasn't entirely like that. I also really appreciated that the writing didn't have a canned quality that I would expect. There were people and events that I never even considered being a part of all of this. (More on blog: Star's Books & Tea)
