About this ebook

The message was undeniable… Fight for her.

Six months after her divorce, Hope St. Cloud is struggling with her guilt over leaving her daughter’s father. She needs a fresh perspective, and she knows exactly how to find it—by spending the summer at her family’s cottage in Sea Glass Cove. Surrounded by abundant peace and fond childhood memories, Hope and her daughter will be able to find a new rhythm with just the two of them.

Nothing could’ve prepared her for the immediate and tantalizing attraction to local gallery owner Owen McKinney. Or for his instant connection with her shy daughter.

It’s been three years since the accident that stole everything Owen held dear. That’s more than enough time to mourn and move on, but he can’t seem to let go… until Hope and her adorable daughter stroll into his gallery. In them, he finds everything he lost—all the joy and adventure that comes with being a family. But Hope’s divorce is still fresh, and he’s afraid she might’ve made a mistake divorcing her husband.

Then a sign straight from his past makes it clear he can’t let them walk away.

Don't miss the next book in the Sea Glass Cove series, The Driftwood Promise—now available!

The character's trouble were too easily fixed. Especially the one molested seemed skimmed over how quickly the person dealt with hang ups on being kissed or touched.

While still similar in formula to much of today's romance genre, The Abalone Shell unwinds its tale through gentler personalities than readers commonly encounter. Protagonists don't have to be flippant, harsh, or mean-spirited to be interesting. This author proves it.

This is a very well written and uplifting Romantic tale!!! It's great to read about two people finding love again after one has experienced a failed marriage and the other has suffered the tragic loss of his wife and son. I can relate to the situation and feel that the characters are believable and very well written. It's an interesting and inspiring tale that is clean and romantically told! You must read this one if you love the ocean and hopefully told family-based Romances!!!

About the author

Suzie O'Connell is the USA Today bestselling author best known for the Northstar romances.

Though she is a self-professed mountain-loving nerd, she has a fair amount of salt water in her veins, courtesy of her "salty dog" grandfather, and once in a while, she gets to craving the crashing ocean surf. It was during one of these episodes that the Sea Glass Cove series was conceived.

Suzie has been writing stories for as long as she can remember, and it shouldn't come as any surprise that her first story, written (and illustrated) way back in second grade, was about the mouse who went to the sea.

When she isn't writing, you'll probably find her in the mountains with a camera in hand and enjoying the beauty of Montana with her husband Mark, their daughter Maddie, and their golden retrievers Reilly and Angus. You might even find her--on her rare trips to the coast--getting in touch with her inner pirate. Just kidding. Sort of.
